Activities for Physical Education

I don’t know about you, but my kids usually get tired of doing the same old thing for Phy. Ed.

They like variety. So over the years, I have tried to find them an assortment of things to do.

Maybe your kids are the same way. Or maybe they have a few favorites that they always fall back on. Either way, what matters most is that they get up and move around to keep their bodies healthy.

If you are the type that likes to offer an assortment of activities for your kids, you might be interested in the list of suggestions for PE below. They are sorted into categories.

Just to warn you. Some of these ideas are a little unconventional, but I’m a little weird that way. You’ll forgive me, won’t you?

Dance, Dance, Dance for Phy. Ed.

When my children were young, my mother bought them a dance DVD called Miss Christy’s Dance Class.  They loved it so much that they used it almost daily for Phy. Ed.

The DVD offers lessons in jazz, ballet, and tap dance in 30 minute sessions. The video makes a perfect entertaining, easy-to-use exercise routine for kids ages 6 and up.
