Strong sentence writing skills are important for creating good paragraphs, and, ultimately, quality written work. Words and sentences are, after all, the foundation of any composition.
Now, strong sentence crafting goes beyond the basic sentence writing skills that beginners use. Instead of writing a sentence like “The dog ran home.”, a strong writer will write a sentence like “The fuzzy, little Pomeranian scampered to her house across the street to have dinner.”
I have some posts for you today by other homeschool moms (including myself) with suggestions and activities that will help you teach your child to write quality sentences.
