Looking for some fresh, new stories and activities to share with your tiny tot?

Magazines for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers might be just what you’re looking for. These periodicals are full of age-appropriate literature, pictures, and activities that can help your child learn and grow while still being entertaining.

I have a list of magazines for you today that you and your young child can enjoy together. Some are based on themes while others cover a broad spectrum of topics.

Magazines for Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers

Babybug – Get read-aloud stories to share with your little one from this magazine. It’s made of a sturdy coated paper with non-toxic ink and rounded corners. No staples are used. For ages 6 months to 3 years.

Ladybug – The next step up from Babybug is Ladybug. This kids magazine is full of stories, songs, poems, action games, and adventures. For ages 3 to 6 years.

Click – Click has stories and articles about science, art, and nature that your kids will love. For ages 3 to 6 years.




Hello Magazine – Each Hello Magazine is based on a theme and comes with read-aloud stories, poems, games and simple activities. All are designed to be safe for babies with tear-resistant, washable materials and stitched bindings. For ages 0 to 2 years.

High Five Magazine – This magazine comes with stories, puzzles and activities designed specifically for preschoolers and kindergarteners. Each issue reinforces the skills that will get them ready for reading, math and other academic areas. For ages 2 to 6 years. Chirp Magazine – Each issue of this children’s magazine by Owl Kids has a unique theme and comes with stories, jokes, puzzles, and fun early-learning activities. For ages 3 to 6 years.

Thomas and Friends – Do you have a child who likes Thomas the Tank Engine? He’ll love this magazine! It comes with stories about Thomas and his friends, a pull-out poster, trading cards, games, puzzles, and activities. For ages 2 to 7 years.

National Geographic Little Kids – You’ve probably heard of National Geographic Kids for older children, but did you know that there is a National Geographic Little Kids magazine for children under 7? This magazine is full of incredible photographs, read-along stories, fun games, and collectible animal cards. For ages 3 to 6 years.

Ranger Rick Cub – This Ranger Rick magazine is designed to help young children learn about animals with its adorable photos, engaging read-aloud stories, interesting articles, and fun activities. For ages 0 to 4 years.

Ranger Rick Jr. – This magazine is next in the Ranger Rick series and is full of fun animal facts, photos, stories, outdoor activities, crafts, recipes, and games. For ages 4 to 7 years.

Zoobies – Zoobies will help young children learn about animals and practice early learning skills with its beautiful pictures, cute stories, and fun activities. For ages 0 to 3 years.

Zootles – Each Zootles magazine focuses on one animal and comes with child-friendly articles, engaging stories, poems, and fun activities related to that animal. For ages 3 to 6 years.
