Test - Where to Find Homeschool Testing Requirements
To test or not to test? That is the question.

Did you know that some states have homeschool testing requirements?

While testing isn’t a lot of fun, it IS mandatory for homeschoolers in some areas of the U.S. That means that you as a homeschooler will have to make sure that your child(ren) get registered to take the needed exams.

There are a few places you can look to find out if your state requires testing. One is your state’s department of education website. The others are in the homeschooling articles listed below. Between them, you should be able to get a clear picture of whether you need to test or not test this school year.

Complete Guide to Homeschool Testing on Homeschool.com – This guide gives a brief synopsis of test requirements by state as well as advice on where to take the tests. Last updated on February 21, 2019.

Homeschool Laws in Your State on HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association) – Click on the map to find out homeschool requirements such as testing and reporting by state.

Current Homeschool Law on CRHE (Coalition for Responsible Home Education) – Click on your state to get details on assessment requirements.
